Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm (1 hour unpaid lunch, 2 paid 15 minute breaks)
Compensation: $26/hr during 3 months of training, then annual salary $60,000
Position Objective:
The Assistant Warehouse Manager will provide managerial and administrative support to the daily operations of the warehouse. This position has continuous interaction with all levels of management, various departments, suppliers and vendors. The overall objective is to assist the Warehouse Manager by maintaining daily operations and quickly resolve any issues which may arise.
Responsibilities:
- Collect data for internal and external audits
- Address system inventory discrepancies (i.e. – allocations with no stock, inventory with no system status, etc.)
- Assist with coordination of special projects such as document/material storage, warehouse reorganization, product donations, etc.
- Oversee cycle counting on all inventories
- Weekly and monthly review of supplies / consumables used by the warehouse, reporting all supply needs to the Warehouse Manager
- Assist with training & cross-training of personnel for optimal performance and efficient distribution of labor resources
- Work with the Warehouse Manager to forecast and prioritize labor needs throughout the course of the day based upon workload
- Investigate & implement corrective action for reported customer concerns and mis-shipments including launching emergency cycle counts to check for inventory accuracy impacted by mis-picked items
- Coordinate special labor tasks like shelving redesign, consolidation of categories etc
- Audit & review cycle count accuracy, goals, schedule and large discrepancies
- Must be able to perform the tasks, duties and troubleshooting responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager in her absence.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-5 years working experience in either Supply Chain oriented or Warehouse Distribution environment
- Combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, MS Excel and Powerpoint) is required
