Are you passionate about footwear, an exceptional leader, and driven by retail success? We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to lead our specialty footwear store, and inspire our team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

We are Run United - a locally-owned specialty footwear store, housing recognized national brands with a focus on running, and everyday supportive footwear. We are dedicated to providing our customers with a custom fitting experience designed to meet your footwear goals - from marathons to surgical recovery to every day support. The Opportunity
As the Store Manager, you will be the visionary and operational leader of your store. You will be responsible for driving sales, managing all store operations, maintaining high visual standards, and, most importantly, developing a high-performing and knowledgeable team focused on specialty fitting and customer satisfaction.
The Compensation:
$50,000 - $55,000 Salary (plus end of year bonus considerations)
The Schedule:
Ability to design schedule reflective with needs of the store, meetings with the Executive team and even remote work.
40 hour work week required.
Key Responsibilities
1. 📈 Sales & Operations Management
Develop and execute strategies to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Oversee all daily operations, including scheduling, inventory management, loss prevention, and cash handling.
Ensure the store maintains impeccable visual merchandising standards, highlighting key products and promotions, specifically within the specialty footwear context.
2. 👥 Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sales Associates.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
Cultivate a positive, supportive, and customer-focused work environment.
3. 👟 Customer Experience & Product Expertise
Ensure every customer receives a personalized, expert fitting and consultative sales experience, emphasizing product knowledge in specialized footwear categories (e.g., running, hiking, orthotics, etc.).
Act as the final point of escalation for complex customer issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new product releases, and competitive activity.
Qualifications
3 years of progressive retail management experience, preferably in specialty retail, athletic goods, or footwear.
Proven track record of driving sales performance and achieving operational excellence.
Strong business acumen and proficiency with retail math and inventory systems.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
